FLUORIDE CAUSES HASHIMOTO'S THYROIDITIS RESULTING IN HYPOTHYROIDISM. FLUORIDE AFFECTS METABOLISM AND CONTRIBUTES TO HIGH CHOLESTEROL, CHRONIC FATIGUE, OVERWEIGHT AND RELATED PROBLEMS. IT ALSO AFFECTS BONES AND JOINTS AND CAN CAUSE DENTAL FLUOROSIS OR MOTTLED TEETH.
FLUORIDE FREE - I JUST WANT THE CHOICE
Test Results
In February 2008, two months after my diagnosis of Hashimoto's disease, I saw an endocrinologist.
I didn't want to take thyroid hormone medication.
I wanted to continue my fluoride free regime giving my thyroid a chance to recover and I needed 6 months to do this.
After a careful examination and a lot of questions (luckily my health had already started to improve),
the endocrinologist agreed providing we monitor my TSH levels every 6 months.
When I suggested fluoride was the cause of Hashimoto's disease, my endocrinologist said there was no proof.
He said I'd be back.
Normal Thyroid Activity
an apt measure
Refer to
What Is Hypothyroidism for how the thyroid gland works,
the role thyroid hormones play and Hashimoto's disease.
The results of my tests are displayed in the tables below:
Table 1. Cholesterol indicates a steady rise of cholesterol that alerted the doctor to potential thyroid dysfunction.
Table 2. Endocrinology - Thyroid Function confirmed thyroid dysfunction in November 2007 with elevated levels of
TSH hormones indicating stressed thyroid gland whilst still maintaining normal levels of T3 and T4 hormones.
After 6 months on my fluoride free regime,
TSH levels dropped significantly back into the normal range.
And here's what I think -
fluoride causes Hasimoto's disease resulting in Hypothyroidism
